A few weekends ago, we had the pleasure of participating in a 626 Drift event at Apple Valley Circuit. These 626 events are special for many reasons, one of them being how scarcely they happen, but mostly because 626 Drift events are where all of us (except Baby Jay) got our beginnings in on-track drifting. I say "on track" because Chuck and Gary actually met on the Southern California touge, but that's a different story for another time.
Our cars were all very different at the time. Chuck had a signature look with a champagne and gold two-tone S13, Gary had a white S13 with GP Sports aero and a massive B-Wave wangan wing. At the time, I was just getting started with a KA powered S13.
This year, 626 Drift decided to throw a reunion event at Apple Valley Speedway with many of the drivers from over 10 years ago. This was a great treat. It felt as though we were all just picking up from where we left off. Below is a collection of images from two separate blogs Camart Media and Bojangles Photo. Enjoy!
